When you get too close to fire, you run the risk of getting burned. When you get too close to a person, you open yourself up to either pain or joy - or a combination of both. Gabe and Chantal have lives with baggage that so stuffed, it’s ready to burst. Gabe is overly careful and is singularly focused, as shows in his artwork. But of the two, it is Chantal that has been more severely burned in her past. So severely that she runs the other way rather than face problems or the pain. The author has created full characters and even the minor characters are strong. There is a happy ending but you wonder most of the book how and if it can possibly happen. I received an advanced reader copy for free from the publisher and am voluntarily leaving my review.

I received a complimentary copy of this book and LOVED it so much that I had to purchase a copy. I was totally, completely in love with this story!!! I would give this more stars if I could. This is the first story in this series and I am so excited to read more of them. Whiskey River, TX is an enchanting place that the Tule Publishing has created. I want to move there!!!! Chantel Chandler co-owns a lingerie store with her sister (Angel). Both love to play matchmaker. Chantel goes out to visit metal artist Gabe Walker to get him to go out with another woman. Gabe has been in love with Chantel since he was sixteen and she was dating his best friend. As such, Gabe promptly turned Chantel down but asks her to go with him as he goes forging for scrape metal. The book just drew me in. I read and re-read sections as they were so eloquently written. It was almost like I was watching a movie. I really hated to see this end. I adored the dual POV format that the story was written in. It really gave a great insight as to what the characters were feeling and thinking in a given situation. This story is a sexy one that I would highly recommend to anyone over the age of 18. This is a story that I will be re-reading over and over.

With relatable characters who make it easy to form a bond with, the moments of intense emotions are cleverly woven throughout in such a way to keep the story flowing effortlessly from beginning to end. My attention was captured from the opening paragraph...and was held throughout the story...I felt myself becoming fully invested in Gabe and Chantel’s journey towards their HEA...though the roadblocks and along the way were troublesome, they certainly made that journey’s end that much more satisfying. Oh, this book was so good! I felt like I had been waiting forever for Gabe's story. Considering this is the first book in the Texas True series you are probably wondering why. I have always been a huge fan of Tule Publishing. I absolutely love how their Texas and Montana Born series' interconnect lightly with characters from previous books. Not to mention, they can all be read as stand alone romances. Tule Publishing is the home of many talented authors and I always stalk their website to see whats coming. That said.....I have previously been introduced to Gabe throughout a few books in the Texas Born world and I always wondered and hoped that he would one day have his own story told. Eve Gaddy did an incredible job bringing romance to Gabe. I couldn't have been happier that Gabe and Chantel made a life with each other. Gabe and Chantel..... These two have known each other since high school. During those younger years, Gabe had a huge crush on Chantel but she was dating his best friend at the time. Gabe being Gabe, he never made a move. He was more than disappointed his friend got to her first. While Chantel was with Gabe's friend, she believed Gabe didn't like her because he was always frowning at her. Of course he was. His friend was dating the girl of his dreams. While they respectively went their separate ways after high school, both ended up back in their hometown of Whiskey River. But it is a couple of years before they have their chance. I don't want to spoil any of this story for you. I loved it so much. So much in fact the bar is set very high to impress me with the coming books in this series. Gabe was the whole package. First and foremost, a gentleman. I haven't claimed a book boyfriend in a long time since so many books I've read in the past year have had cookie cutter heroes. That is not a bad thing, just saying that Gabe was the first in a while that pushed ALL my buttons. Texas Forged is a wonderful story of taking chances, romance, healing and love. There are some emotional elements that broke my heart; some angst and drama as well. Watching Gabe and Chantel profess their love was believable and heartwarming. I absolutely recommend this book! When you get too close to fire, you run the risk of getting burned. When you get too close to a person, you open yourself up to either pain or joy - or a combination of both. Gabe and Chantal have lives with baggage that so stuffed, it’s ready to burst. Gabe is overly careful and is singularly focused, as shows in his artwork. But of the two, it is Chantal that has been more severely burned in her past. So severely that she runs the other way rather than face problems or the pain. The author has created full characters and even the minor characters are strong. There is a happy ending but you wonder most of the book how and if it can possibly happen. I received a complimentary copy of this book and LOVED it so much that I had to purchase a copy. I was totally, completely in love with this story!!! I would give this more stars if I could. This is the first story in this series and I am so excited to read more of them. Whiskey River, TX is an enchanting place that the Tule Publishing has created. I want to move there!!!! Chantel Chandler co-owns a lingerie store with her sister (Angel). Both love to play matchmaker. Chantel goes out to visit metal artist Gabe Walker to get him to go out with another woman. Gabe has been in love with Chantel since he was sixteen and she was dating his best friend. As such, Gabe promptly turned Chantel down but asks her to go with him as he goes forging for scrape metal. The book just drew me in. I read and re-read sections as they were so eloquently written. It was almost like I was watching a movie. I really hated to see this end. I adored the dual POV format that the story was written in. It really gave a great insight as to what the characters were feeling and thinking in a given situation. This story is a sexy one that I would highly recommend to anyone over the age of 18. This is a story that I will be re-reading over and over.

Chantel Chandler co-owns a lingerie store with her sister (Angel). Both love to play matchmaker. Chantel goes out to visit metal artist Gabe Walker to get him to go out with another woman. Gabe has been in love with Chantel since he was sixteen and she was dating his best friend. As such, Gabe promptly turned Chantel down but asks her to go with him as he goes forging for scrape metal. The book just drew me in. I read and re-read sections as they were so eloquently written. It was almost like I was watching a movie. I really hated to see this end. I adored the dual POV format that the story was written in. It really gave a great insight as to what the characters were feeling and thinking in a given situation. This story is a sexy one that I would highly recommend to anyone over the age of 18. This is a story that I will be re-reading over and over.

I adored the dual POV format that the story was written in. It really gave a great insight as to what the characters were feeling and thinking in a given situation. With relatable characters who make it easy to form a bond with, the moments of intense emotions are cleverly woven throughout in such a way to keep the story flowing effortlessly from beginning to end. Beautiful story, all the feels!

Oh, this book was so good! I felt like I had been waiting forever for Gabe's story. Considering this is the first book in the Texas True series you are probably wondering why. I have always been a huge fan of Tule Publishing. I absolutely love how their Texas and Montana Born series' interconnect lightly with characters from previous books. Not to mention, they can all be read as stand alone romances. Tule Publishing is the home of many talented authors and I always stalk their website to see whats coming. That said.....I have previously been introduced to Gabe throughout a few books in the Texas Born world and I always wondered and hoped that he would one day have his own story told. Eve Gaddy did an incredible job bringing romance to Gabe. I couldn't have been happier that Gabe and Chantel made a life with each other. Gabe and Chantel..... These two have known each other since high school. During those younger years, Gabe had a huge crush on Chantel but she was dating his best friend at the time. Gabe being Gabe, he never made a move. He was more than disappointed his friend got to her first. While Chantel was with Gabe's friend, she believed Gabe didn't like her because he was always frowning at her. Of course he was. His friend was dating the girl of his dreams. While they respectively went their separate ways after high school, both ended up back in their hometown of Whiskey River. But it is a couple of years before they have their chance. I don't want to spoil any of this story for you. I loved it so much. So much in fact the bar is set very high to impress me with the coming books in this series. Gabe was the whole package. First and foremost, a gentleman. I haven't claimed a book boyfriend in a long time since so many books I've read in the past year have had cookie cutter heroes. That is not a bad thing, just saying that Gabe was the first in a while that pushed ALL my buttons. Texas Forged is a wonderful story of taking chances, romance, healing and love. There are some emotional elements that broke my heart; some angst and drama as well. Watching Gabe and Chantel profess their love was believable and heartwarming. I absolutely recommend this book! Actually, I highly recommend it. This is my honest and unbiased review and I thank you for taking the time to read it. :)

When you get too close to fire, you run the risk of getting burned. When you get too close to a person, you open yourself up to either pain or joy - or a combination of both. Gabe and Chantal have lives with baggage that so stuffed, it’s ready to burst. Gabe is overly careful and is singularly focused, as shows in his artwork. But of the two, it is Chantal that has been more severely burned in her past. So severely that she runs the other way rather than face problems or the pain. The author has created full characters and even the minor characters are strong. There is a happy ending but you wonder most of the book how and if it can possibly happen. I received an advanced reader copy for free from the publisher and am voluntarily leaving my review.

I received a complimentary copy of this book and LOVED it so much that I had to purchase a copy. I was totally, completely in love with this story!!! I would give this more stars if I could. This is the first story in this series and I am so excited to read more of them. Whiskey River, TX is an enchanting place that the Tule Publishing has created. I want to move there!!!! Chantel Chandler co-owns a lingerie store with her sister (Angel). Both love to play matchmaker. Chantel goes out to visit metal artist Gabe Walker to get him to go out with another woman. Gabe has been in love with Chantel since he was sixteen and she was dating his best friend. As such, Gabe promptly turned Chantel down but asks her to go with him as he goes forging for scrape metal. The book just drew me in. I read and re-read sections as they were so eloquently written. It was almost like I was watching a movie. I really hated to see this end. I adored the dual POV format that the story was written in. It really gave a great insight as to what the characters were feeling and thinking in a given situation. This story is a sexy one that I would highly recommend to anyone over the age of 18. This is a story that I will be re-reading over and over.

Eve Gaddy did an incredible job bringing romance to Gabe. I couldn't have been happier that Gabe and Chantel made a life with each other. Gabe and Chantel..... These two have known each other since high school. During those younger years, Gabe had a huge crush on Chantel but she was dating his best friend at the time. Gabe being Gabe, he never made a move. He was more than disappointed his friend got to her first. While Chantel was with Gabe's friend, she believed Gabe didn't like her because he was always frowning at her. Of course he was. His friend was dating the girl of his dreams. While they respectively went their separate ways after high school, both ended up back in their hometown of Whiskey River. But it is a couple of years before they have their chance. I don't want to spoil any of this story for you. I loved it so much. So much in fact the bar is set very high to impress me with the coming books in this series. Gabe was the whole package. First and foremost, a gentleman. I haven't claimed a book boyfriend in a long time since so many books I've read in the past year have had cookie cutter heroes. That is not a bad thing, just saying that Gabe was the first in a while that pushed ALL my buttons. Texas Forged is a wonderful story of taking chances, romance, healing and love. There are some emotional elements that broke my heart; some angst and drama as well. Watching Gabe and Chantel profess their love was believable and heartwarming. I absolutely recommend this book! Actually, I highly recommend it. This is my honest and unbiased review and I thank you for taking the time to read it. :)

Impossible Happiness

When you get too close to fire, you run the risk of getting burned. When you get too close to a person, you open yourself up to either pain or joy - or a combination of both. Gabe and Chantal have lives with baggage that so stuffed, it’s ready to burst. Gabe is overly careful and is singularly focused, as shows in his artwork. But of the two, it is Chantal that has been more severely burned in her past. So severely that she runs the other way rather than face problems or the pain. The author has created full characters and even the minor characters are strong. There is a happy ending but you wonder most of the book how and if it can possibly happen. I received an advanced reader copy for free from the publisher and am voluntarily leaving my review.

I received a complimentary copy of this book and LOVED it so much that I had to purchase a copy. I was totally, completely in love with this story!!! I would give this more stars if I could. This is the first story in this series and I am so excited to read more of them. Whiskey River, TX is an enchanting place that the Tule Publishing has created. I want to move there!!!! Chantel Chandler co-owns a lingerie store with her sister (Angel). Both love to play matchmaker. Chantel goes out to visit metal artist Gabe Walker to get him to go out with another woman. Gabe has been in love with Chantel since he was sixteen and she was dating his best friend. As such, Gabe promptly turned Chantel down but asks her to go with him as he goes forging for scrape metal. The book just drew me in. I read and re-read sections as they were so eloquently written. It was almost like I was watching a movie. I really hated to see this end. I adored the dual POV format that the story was written in. It really gave a great insight as to what the characters were feeling and thinking in a given situation. This story is a sexy one that I would highly recommend to anyone over the age of 18. This is a story that I will be re-reading over and over.

Eve Gaddy’s first book in the Texas True series, Texas Forged, is rife with a palpable passion that only intensifies as the story unfolds. With relatable characters who make it easy to form a bond with, the moments of intense emotions are cleverly woven throughout in such a way to keep the story flowing effortlessly from beginning to end. My attention was captured from the opening paragraph...and was held throughout the story...I felt myself becoming fully invested in Gabe and Chantel’s journey towards their HEA...though the roadblocks and along the way were troublesome, they certainly made that journey’s end that much more satisfying. This ARC book was complimentary, provided by the Publisher. I am voluntarily providing my honest review.

Oh, this book was so good! I felt like I had been waiting forever for Gabe's story. Considering this is the first book in the Texas True series you are probably wondering why. I have always been a huge fan of Tule Publishing. I absolutely love how their Texas and Montana Born series' interconnect lightly with characters from previous books. Not to mention, they can all be read as stand alone romances. Tule Publishing is the home of many talented authors and I always stalk their website to see whats coming. That said.....I have previously been introduced to Gabe throughout a few books in the Texas Born world and I always wondered and hoped that he would one day have his own story told.
